Kids’ Farm: Welcome Back Sun
February 15 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
This event is sold out, but we have more! Please check out our other upcoming kid-friendly events.
It may still look frosty outside, but spring is here inside our cozy greenhouse at the Kids’ Farm at Eastman’s Corner. At this week’s Kids’ Farm classroom session, we’ll kick off the start of a new farming season by getting our hands dirty. Under Farmer Lis’s guidance we’ll get our EarthBoxes planted with new spring vegetables – perhaps peas, some superb spinach, or rather rare radishes. You’ll learn about proper planting techniques and timing, then watch the vegetables you planted grow through the season.
The Kids’ Farm at Eastman’s Corner is a safe and welcoming space for all kids. Come meet new friends in your neighborhood – we’ll make sure our visit starts off with greetings and games to get to know each other. Children or their grown-up friends who have difficulty walking can still access our greenhouse. Just contact us with any questions or special needs.
These events are free but space is limited. Please register to hold your spot.
