CANCELLED Meet the Farmer: April Fowl’s Day
April 1, 2020 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Why did the chicken cross the road? To play a prank on the other side! Join Farmer Lis to learn some of the sillier facts about chickens. We’ll spend some time inside our “Cluckingham Palace” chicken coop meeting the hens and help out with some chicken-caring chores. Learn the silly quirks of our favorite “Palace” residents and ask your questions about what makes chickens tick (or cluck).
The Meet the Farmer series is a fun way for the whole family to learn about gardening, animal husbandry and sustainable agriculture. Our farmer, Lis Schneider, has been a year-round agriculturalist for over a decade. She works to encourage more young people to fall in love with the earth and outdoors by showing them all the fun and wonder to be found in their own backyards and gardens.
Park in the dirt lot and walk up to the children’s greenhouse (the last one on the right). Guests who have difficulty walking can still access our greenhouse and garden. Just contact us with any questions or special needs.
These events are free but space is limited.
