Our roof has a new look – a fashionable layer of solar panels that are already pulling in kilowatt hours. The panels were installed by ReVision Energy, and will be joined in the spring by an additional array on the hillside behind The Farm. They’re an important part of our mission to completely power our operations with renewable resources – solar and wind.
A responsible choice
Think solar power is an odd choice in wintery New England? New Hampshire actually receives 30% more sunshine than Germany, currently the world leader for solar energy use. We’re also one of the most oil-dependent states in the union, with extremely high CO2 emissions per capita. For us here at The Farm, that makes the decision to go solar even more important. After all, the health of our environment directly contributes to the quality of our locally produced food.
