CANCELLED. This hands-on edition of our Meet the Farmer class will see kids and their caregivers help us set up our brand new incubator. We’ll get a crate ready to house our baby chicks after they hatch, set up their baby crate and heat source, place eggs in the incubator, and learn all about what’s involved with taking care of baby birds. Kids will also get to lend a hand with some animal chores at The Farm.

Kids’ Farm: Welcome Back Sun

This event is SOLD OUT. Kick off the start of a new farming season by getting our hands dirty. Under Farmer Lis's guidance we'll get our EarthBoxes planted with new spring vegetables - perhaps peas, some superb spinach, or rather rare radishes. You'll learn about proper planting techniques and timing, then watch the vegetables you planted grow through the season.

Kids’ Farm: Storytelling Workshop

It's all about stories this week at the Kids' Farm! The winds might be blowing outside, but our greenhouse classroom is heated and cozy. Come check out what's growing and join Farmer Lis for a fun storytelling workshop. We'll read books about farms and farming, with Farmer Lis helping pick out the elements that make a story fun. Then we'll put our new skills to use dreaming up our own storybook about the Kids' Farm.
