CANCELLED. It's planting time at the Kids' Farm outdoor garden! Join us for a hands-on morning of farming fun as we get our spring seeds and seedlings into the ground. Kids of all ages will be welcome to dig, touch, plant and play. Learn how tiny seeds turn into the delicious vegetables, greens and herbs we enjoy on our tables.
This event is SOLD OUT. Kick off the start of a new farming season by getting our hands dirty. Under Farmer Lis's guidance we'll get our EarthBoxes planted with new spring vegetables - perhaps peas, some superb spinach, or rather rare radishes. You'll learn about proper planting techniques and timing, then watch the vegetables you planted grow through the season.
It's all about stories this week at the Kids' Farm! The winds might be blowing outside, but our greenhouse classroom is heated and cozy. Come check out what's growing and join Farmer Lis for a fun storytelling workshop. We'll read books about farms and farming, with Farmer Lis helping pick out the elements that make a story fun. Then we'll put our new skills to use dreaming up our own storybook about the Kids' Farm.
